Obituary for Lynda M Szwedo
Lynda Szwedo, 50, lifelong resident of Roselle Park, passed away on Friday, August 26 surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous 8 year battle with Colorectal cancer.
Lynda graduated from Kean University, and was employed by Port Newark Container Terminal as a Senior Payroll Analyst for the entirety of her career.
She is predeceased by her father Joseph Szwedo. Surviving are her mother Dorothy Grall Szwedo; sisters Karen Crown, and husband Patrick; Tammy Skiff and husband Joseph; nephews and nieces, Brian, and wife Brianna, Marissa, Tyler, Brittany, and Kaylee and great-niece Tatum. She is also survived by a brother Joseph Szwedo and his family, and a beloved cousin John, his wife Sandy, and their daughters.
Lynda was fortunate to have so many cherished lifelong friends with whom she loved to spend time and travel. She was an active member of St. Rafael’s Church of Livingston, NJ. Lynda’s family was the center of her universe, and her nephews, nieces, and her great niece were her greatest pride and joy. She will always be remembered for her extraordinary strength, generous heart, and warm smile.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3-7pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10am at St Theresa RC Church, Kenilworth with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park.
