Obituary for Marcia J Ernst
It is with heavy hearts that on Thursday, December 19, 2019 we had to say goodbye to our beloved Marcia Joy (Teufel) Ernst at the age of 75.
A viewing will be held at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park on Sunday December 22, 2019 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Saint Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
Marcia was born in Newark NJ and grew up in Union, NJ where she attended Saint Michaels Parish School and Union High School. During her early years, Marcia worked as a Stylist at Window on Main Salon in Chatham. She then served for 24 years as the Court Clerk the NJ State Family Court in Union County where she retired in 2008.
Marcia lived for over 50 years in Kenilworth where her kindness and generosity touched many lives. She was an avid participant in women’s sports, helping to establish some of the early Women’s Softball and Volleyball leagues in the Union county area and developed a love for animals.
Marcia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter (Butch) Ernst Jr., Loving children, Tricia Malcolm and husband Richard and Scott Ernst and wife Cynthia, grandchildren Annibelle, James, J.P., Jake and Ryan and loving companions Mickey and Ebony.
