Obituary for Matthew Joseph Misiuk

Matthew Joseph Misuik, 32, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park from 2 to 4pm with a service at 3:30pm.

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ONLY 30 PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT A TIME. FACE MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS ENFORCED ALONG WITH NEW JERSEY STATE CONTACT TRACING.

Matthew was born at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ, raised in Union, NJ before moving to Kenilworth, NJ in 2007.

He is a 2001 graduate of Union High School and went to Metro Audio and Electronics where he learned how to work on sound and light systems and was also a HVAC mechanic. What he loved and enjoyed the most was buying and selling cars and motorcycles.

Matthew left this world too soon. He left a legacy of love and joy. Everyone loved being around him because he was a joy to be with. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. Matthew was genuine and loved being close to his family, especially his mom whom he had a bond for life with. There are so many lives Matthew touched and the world lost a beautiful shining light.

Please remember all the good time spent with Matthew. He will forever be with us in spirit. He is home now lighting up Heaven.

Matthew is survived by his loving mother, Diane E. Alfieri/Capolupo, loving father, Stanley P. Misiuk, adored sister, Danielle M. Alfieri, adored brother, Anthony J. Faiella, dear aunts Dee Alfieri, Karen Puccio, Christine Petrucci, Marilynn Dragone, dear uncles, Joseph Alfieri and Rocco Dragone, nephews and nieces, Dominic Nardi, Giovanni Nardi, and Angelina Nardi, his cousins Nicholas Alfieri, Louis Alfieri, Vito Alfieri, Rocco Dragone, Jr., Marissa Conneely, Jessica Smith, Amanda Podwizki, Nicole Alfieri, Vincent Alfieri, and MaryJo Carnes and their families.
He is predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph Alfieri, his grandmother Mary Tunnero, his aunt Constance Baretto, and his uncle Nicholas Alfieri.
