Obituary for Placida T Cueva
Placida Cueva, 83, of Roselle Park, NJ, peacefully passed away at her residence on October 21, 2021 surrounded by her family and close friends.
A mass will be held at 11:00am at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, NJ - Followed by a repast at Costa’s Restaurant in Roselle Park, NJ.
Placida was born in Manila, Philippines on October 5, 1939. She graduated and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Far Eastern University. She came to the United States in 1968 and worked as an accountant for Go Lightly in Hillside, NJ for 20+ years and thereafter pursued a new career as a private home health aide in Short Hills, NJ. Placida was like a mother to all and her ambition was to bring all her family from the Philippines to come to the United States. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved taking trips to Atlantic City on her free time.
Placida is survived by Leticia Dy (sister), Joselito Dy (brother-in-law), Corazon Roman (sister), Videlio Roman (brother-in-law), Vicente Cueva Jr. (brother), nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Placida is preceded in death by Ligaya Cueva (mother), Vicente Cueva (father), Roger Cueva (brother), Margarita Cueva (sister), and Teresita Cueva (sister-in-law).
