Obituary for Ronald C Carpenter
Ronald Carpenter, 83, of Millstone Twp, NJ passed away on June 29th, 2023.
Ronald was born in New York City and lived there until his mid-twenties when he and his wife, Barbara, of 61 years, moved to New Jersey. He was predeceased by his mother Teresa, his brothers, Joseph, Richard, Peter and his sister Joanie, sister-in-law’s Lorraine, Vicky and Margaret.
Ronald resided in Hillside, NJ where he and Barbara started their family and had two beautiful daughters and eventually moved to Bloomfield, NJ and then to Kenilworth, NJ before finally residing with family in Millstone Twp.
Ronald was a member of Local 1262 and Local 464 as he worked as a stock clerk for various supermarkets his entire life. He started work as a young boy for H. C. Bohack in New York City, and then when moving to New Jersey worked for Pathmark, Shoprite, Foodtown and finally with Atlantic & Pacific Supermarkets (A&P). He really must have liked his job, since at home his family would find Ronald forever fixing the pantry closet.
Ronald enjoyed bowling, going for walks, and helping when he could.
Ronald is survived and will be remembered with love by his wife, Barbara (nee: Malaguti), his daughter Jennifer Hartmann, her husband John, his daughter Gail Mazza, her husband Dave, his grandchildren, John Hartmann Jr., his fiancé Sarah Raber, Joseph, Marisa and Aidan Mazza.
He is also survived by his brothers, Raymond, his wife Eleanor, William, Donald and Michael Carpenter, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 from 1pm-4pm at Mastapeter Funeral Home , 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ 07204. Service will be at 3:30pm. Cremation will be private.
