Obituary for Ruth W Burchardt
Ruth Burchardt, loving, kind and caring mother and grandmother passed away July 26, 2022. She was 94.
Born in Newark, NJ she later became a lifelong resident of Union, NJ. Mrs. Burchardt was an operator/supervisor for the telephone company for many years working in both Newark, NJ and Union, NJ until retirement.
She loved her family and spending time with them, being active in her local church, Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and frequent getaways to her summer home in Upstate New York.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Harold F. Burchardt, son, Jeffrey W. Burchardt and sister Mildred Gerndt. She is survived by loving son, Allen Burchardt, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wayne Meade, daughter-in-law, Evelyn Burchardt, grandchildren, Matthew Meade and wife Katharine, Christopher Meade and wife Megan, Jonathan Meade and wife Lindsey, Allison Burchardt. She will be missed by all.
Viewing and service will be held at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ, on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 9-10am. Funeral service will be at 10am at the funeral home. Interment following at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. The family will also be hosting a luncheon at Costa's Restaurant, 120 Chestnut Street, Roselle Park, NJ, at noon. All are invited to attend.
