Obituary for Salvatore O. Fazio
Salvatore O. Fazio, 38, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 9:15am. A funeral mass will be offered at St Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10:30am.
Interment will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visitation will be 3 to 7pm on Sunday.
Born in Livingston, Sal was raised in Westfield and a 2002 graduate of Westfield High School.
Sal had a passion for baseball, family and friends.
A Devoted son, brother and uncle and a friend to all. He was a man of faith, a lover of his country and his heritage. As an amateur baseball player, Sal won many awards through the leagues, including MVP, Rookie of the year, the golden glove and many more.
Predeceased by his paternal Grandparents, Salvatore and Marion Fazio, his maternal Grandfather, George Moretti, and his mother Jeanette Fazio.
He is survived by his grandmother, Sofia Moretti, his father, Thomas Fazio, his sister Jessica Capone, Brother in law, Joseph Capone, nephew Joseph Capone, Jr., nephew and Godson, Nicolas Capone, niece Giovanna Capone. sister Melissa Moretti, Brother Michael. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
