Tadeus S. Kachnowski, 93, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Monday, September 29, 2020 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Visitation will be on Sunday 3 to 7pm.
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Tadeus settled to Roselle Park in 1956.
He was a machinist for Worthington Pump in Harrison for 50 years, retiring in 1993.
Tadeus proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was a member of the V. F. W. 2230, Kenilworth Veterans Center in Kenilworth.
He was a 1944 graduate of Essex County Vocational & Technical School.
Tadeus is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy A. (Savilich) Kachnowski and a son, Edward.
Surviving are two sons, Michael and his wife Marlene and Joseph B. and his wife Debbie, four grandchildren, Shawn (Katherine), Kayla (Michael), Lauren (fiancée Seth), and Renee (Bryan), and five great-grandchildren Michael Jr., Chase, Bradley, Logan, and Tristan.
