Obituary for William S Brennan

William Steven Brennan, better known as Bill Brennan, was born in Elizabeth on May 15, 1965 and lived in Roselle Park for many years.

Bill loved movies & was manager of a theater for many years. To his delight, this theater began to show one of Bill's favorite movies, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Bill's involvement with this movie didn't end with him just enjoying it; he was an active member of the cult fandom related to this movie. He had over a 30 years involvement in the "Rocky" scene which included performing with the New York City cast. Because of his long term involvement, many amongst the Rocky Horror community called him "Uncle Bill." This was not a title he took lightly. Many younger members were welcomed and mentored by him.

Bill also became a promoter of the local cast in New York and created and posted many of the flyers promoting the show all over New York City. Bill also helped launch "Rockys" reach on paper and helped create the fan magazine called "Crazed Imaginations." This fansize provided a link amongst all the cast members in the United States as well as abroad. This was fansize by fans for fans of the movie.
Bill was also integral in promoting Rockys Horror's sequel called "Shock Treatment". He helped run the National Shock Treatment Convention Cast. His voice can be heard along with "Mad Man Mike" in the actual commentary of the movie.

Because of the many contributions he made within the Rocky Horror community, he earned the Boss award. This is given to members of the Rocky Horror community who make a significant impact within it and was apparent with the many lives he touched.

Besides these accomplishments, Bill was a decent human being who loved & laughed. He will be missed by his wife Adama Brennan, former partner, Monica Moloughney; sons, Alexander Brennan, Chad Sheppard; sister Kelli McKim; brother Steven Brennan; brother in law, Robert McKim; nephews, Liam, Patrick & Rory McKim, not to mention the many family & friends within the the Rocky Horror community.
Life of the party, mentor & great friend; he was a true Boss.
