Frank A. LaPorta, 93, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at home.
Visitation is on Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, 9 to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Church of The Assumption, Roselle Park at 11am. Entombment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Born in Elizabeth, Frank moved to Roselle Park in 1961.
He was a maintenance engineer for the Elizabeth Board of Education, retiring 25 years ago, prior to that he worked for Peter J. Schweitzer Paper Co. in Elizabeth.
Frank was a member of the Retired Men’s Club, Roselle Park Senior Citizens, and the Casano Community Center all of Roselle Park and the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Elizabeth.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 70 years Frances (Cutugno) LaPorta, three loving children Peter A. LaPorta, Rosemary Maucher, and Linda Tingley and her husband John William, four adored grandchildren Denise, Dawn, Michael, and Kaitlin, and eight cherished great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
