Obituary for David J. Curtin
David J. Curtin, 88, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Visitation will be 6 to 9pm on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Kenilworth Gospel Church in Kenilworth at 10am.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1927, David moved to Jersey City, NJ when he was 5 and was a resident of Kenilworth for 50 years.
He was President of the New York Typographical Union, Printing Utilities Branch, Local 6.
David was a lifelong Brooklyn Dodgers fan, diehard New York Jets, and Mets fan.
He is predeceased by his parents David F. and Winifred, two sisters Agnes Ward and Mary Curtin.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 58 years Catherine (nee: Dougherty); two sons David and Michael; daughter-in-law Nadine; three grandchildren Noelle, Joshua, and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren Jasper and Isla.
