Obituary for Thomas R. Staples
Thomas R. Staples, 69, of Roselle Park, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial service on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 12 noon in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. The family will receive friends 11am to 12 noon prior to the services in the funeral home.
Born in Warwick, NY, Thomas lived in Belleville, NJ, before settling to Roselle Park, NJ 41 years ago.
He was a truck driver for Airborne in South Hackensack for 35 years, retiring in 2005
Thomas was a member with the Teamsters Local 295/851 in New York City.
He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 42 years Joanne (nee: Vnuk) Staples; three loving children Brian Staples and his wife Tiffany, Jessica Knierim and her husband Patrick, and Kimberly Staples; three dears sisters Patricia Schoenfelder, Susan Masso, and Diane Staples; and four cherished grandchildren Annabella, Courtney, Jack and Bryan.
In lieu of flowers please make donation to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ, 08691 in Thomas’s memory.
