Obituary for Nicholas J. Dunn
Nicholas J. Dunn, 85, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 7:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph the Carpenter Church in Roselle at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Friday.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Nicholas lived in Roselle for 7 years before settling to Roselle Park in 1963.
He was a molder for Westons Instruments in Newark, retiring 18 years ago.
Nicholas served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.
He was one of the founding members in 1968 of the Pop Warner Football in Roselle Park.
Nicholas is predeceased by his loving daughter Kathleen Walton.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years June (Vroom) Dunn; three loving children James Dunn, Eileen Suarez and her husband George, and Noreen Hildebrandt; four dear sisters Geraldine, Dorothy, Rosemarie, and Shirley; 11 adored grandchildren; and 3 cherished great-grandchildren.
