Obituary for Mildred M. "Millie" Chonko (Dupack)

Mildred M. “Millie” Chonko, (nee: Dupack), 84, of Kenilworth, NJ passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving children on Monday, January 18, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10am. Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Sunday.

Born and raised in Wilkes Barre, PA, Millie lived in Elizabeth, NJ, before moving to Kenilworth, NJ in 1965.
She was a manager at White Castle in Rahway for many years, retiring 42 years ago and an Avon representative for 25 years.
She was a parishioner of St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth, member of the Rosary Society at St. Theresa’s Church, Catholic Daughters of America St. Theresa’s Court, Kenilworth Senior Citizens, member, past-president and trustee of Ladies Auxiliary Fr. McVeigh Council 4186 of the Knights of Columbus in Kenilworth, VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2179, Volunteer at St. Theresa’s Bingo Kitchen, and a volunteer at the annual carnival for the Kenilworth Fire Department.
Millie loved T. V., food, family gatherings, playing cards at the seniors, reading the newspaper and doing their daily puzzles.
Millie always touched the hearts of all who knew her and will never be forgotten.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas Chonko, Sr., a loving son Kenneth Chonko, an adored granddaughter Melissa Chonko, and eight dear brothers and two dear sisters.
Millie is survived by her three loving children Nellie Ann Chudzikiewicz and her husband Richard, Nicholas T. Chonko and his wife Rose, and Gail Russo and her husband Arthur; seven adored grandchildren “her babies” Jennifer, Kenneth, Nicholas, Emily, Michael, Christina, and Arty; eight cherished great-grandchildren also “her babies “ David, Angela, Taniah, Annaliese, Katie, Mitchell, Kelsie, and Gabriella; dear sister Josephine Nardone; and a caring godson Michael. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who knew her as “Aunt Mickey”.
Millie will be dearly missed by family, many friends and a neighborhood who knew her as “Mom Mom”.
