Obituary for Nicholas Ditta
Nicholas Ditta, 91, of Hightstown, NJ, formerly of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 09, 2016.
Visitation will be 6 to 9pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. All are to meet for a Funeral Mass at 9:45am on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave., E. Hanover, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover.
Born in Newark, NJ, Nicholas lived in Roselle Park for 26 years before moving to Hightstown 2 years ago.
He was a printer for Premier Printing in Kearny for 35 years retiring in 1989.
Nicholas served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Union Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge 1583.
Nicholas is predeceased by his beloved wife Adeline (DellaPelle) Ditta; four siblings Beatrice Schiavino, Joseph Ditta, Mary Ditta, and Mae Melo.
Surviving are two loving children Salvatore Ditta and his wife Evonne, and Catherine Jackson and her husband Robert; a brother Stefano Ditta; and an adored granddaughter Julia Santucci.
