Obituary for Marie A. Mirabelli (Tomasulo)

Marie A. Mirabelli, (nee: Tomasulo), 85, of Cranford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Lourdes in Mountainside at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Tuesday.
Growing up in Roselle Park, NJ, Marie lived in Elizabeth for 30 years before moving to Cranford in 1988.
She graduated Georgian Court College in 1951 with a Bachelor in Education.
Marie worked at Roosevelt Middle School in Elizabeth as a home economics teacher, until she retired many years ago.
She spent summers in Sea Girt and Lake Hopatcong, NJ.
Marie was a great cook, who loved to be surrounded by her family. She loved to needlepoint, read, and listen to music.
Marie was a woman of great faith. Her positive attitude, great strength, amazing grace, and unending kindness are her legacy. She is a role model to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by all.
The family would like to thank Marie, Jenny, Sandra, and Angela for their wonderful and loving care.
Marie is predeceased by her beloved parents Joseph and Grace (Calabro) Tomasulo, a dear brother Rev. Anthony Tomasulo, OSA, and her loving companion of 23 years, John Pristasch.
Her greatest joy was her family.
Surviving are her seven loving children Dominick Mirabelli and his wife Cynthia, Joseph Mirabelli and his wife Diane, Paul Mirabelli, Anne Mendez, Mario Mirabelli and his wife Betsy, Mary Grace Finn and her husband John, and Frances Pentimone and her husband Tim; 13 cherished grandchildren Pamela, Kenneth, Jacob, Paul, Christopher, Luke, Melissa, Christina, Kathryn, Jessica, Andrew, Matthew, and Grace; her dear Aunt Frances Garfall and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ARC of Union County or Autism Speaks.
