Obituary for Joseph "Bip" Lugara

Joseph “Bip” Lugara, 97, a lifelong Kenilworth, NJ resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10am. Interment will follow to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Visitation is 6 to 9pm on Wednesday.
Joseph was a crane operator for Hyatt Rotor Bearing in Clark for 35 years, retiring 30 years ago.
He was a member of the Irvington Pigeon Racing Club.
Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Force during World War II and was in the Algerian French Moroccan Campaign under General Patton, also the Tunisian, Sicilian, Southern France, Rome-Arno, German, and Northern France Campaign’s and received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Massa) Lugara.
Surviving are two loving children Joseph A. Lugara and his wife Kathy and Marlene Bagnall and her husband Kenneth; four adored grandchildren Joseph, Alexa, Christopher, and Steven.
