Maria Luizette Aquiles, (nee: Goncalves) 76, of Elizabeth, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016.
Relatives and friends are to meet for a Funeral Mass 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Elizabeth, NJ. Entombment will follow to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
Born in Salir do Porto, Portugal, Maria came to the United States in 1966 and settle in Elizabeth, NJ.
She was seamstress for the I.L.G.W.U. in Elizabeth, NJ for 40 years, retiring in 1992.
Maria was a member of the Portuguese club in Elizabeth.
Maria is survived by her husband Antonio; daughter Olga Aquiles; two sisters Lourdes Barros and Aurora Alves; brother Jose Antonio Goncalves; grandchildren Amanda Patten and her husband Aric and Alexandra Aquiles; great-granddaughter Addison Patten. Also survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
