Obituary for Gaetana Calamusa (Maggio)

Gaetana Calamusa, (nee: Maggio), 72, of Matawan, formerly of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday July 8, 2016 at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation is 5 to 9pm on Thursday.
Born in Alia, Sicily, Italy, Gaetana came to the United States in 1959 to Newark, NJ, then living in Roselle Park 1979 to 2006 before moving to Matawan 10 years ago.
She was a cafeteria worker for Roselle Park High School for 14 years, retiring in 2006.
Gaetana was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Church of the Assumption.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Pietro Calamusa and a dear brother Rosolino Maggio.
Gaetana is survived by four loving children Maria Castro and her husband Manuel, Sylvia Calamusa, Tony Calamusa and his wife Sonia, and Rosalia Marrone and her husband Michael; eight adored grandchildren Christina, Anthony, Paul, Peter, Isabella, Arianna, Anthony, and Michael; and two dear sisters Leonarda Manzella and Agata Abrusci.
