Obituary for Edith L. "Pete" Johnston (Schaefer)
Edith L. “Pete” Johnston, (nee: Schaefer), 99, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park at 10am. Please be at the funeral home 9am. Interment will follow to Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Monday 4 to 7pm.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Edith lived in Roselle Park for 90 years.
She was an office manager for Northern Miller in Roselle Park for 25 years, retiring 24 years ago.
Edith was a member of the Roselle Park Senior Citizens, Casano Community Center in Roselle Park, and past president of the Deborah Chapter of Union County.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband William Johnston, Sr., a loving son William Johnston, Jr., and a dear brother Warren Schaefer.
Surviving are three loving daughters Kathleen Tokarski and her husband Richard, Susan and Barbette Johnston; six caring grandchildren; and fourteen adored great-grandchildren.
