We are heartbroken at the passing of our beloved Diane Adase, age 61 on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Diane was born on November 25, 1958 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She resided in Roselle Park, New Jersey at the Adase homestead for 58 years. She has been in the wonderful care of Cranford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranford New Jersey since 2017.

Diane graduated Roselle Park High School in 1979. She worked for ten years at the Roselle Park High School cafeteria. She loved the social interaction and she never missed the bus to and from work.

Diane had a beautiful smile that would light up our hearts and a laugh that would turn a rainy day into sunshine. Her love for her family was unsurpassed.

Diane’s passion was her love for music. Polka music was her favorite. She loved to dance the polka with her family and friends at Polka Weekends and she cherished watching her brother-in-law Eddie Forman’s band EFO play. Diane also adored playing the guitar and singing.

Diane had a passion for high school sporting events. She looked forward going to football games and wrestling matches at the Roselle Park High school with her Father and Nephew.

Predeceased in death by her Father and Mother, Frank and Stella (nee: Karaman) Adase of Roselle Park, NJ and Diane’s sister, Jane Adase Flanagan.

Family members that live on her memory are: Sister, Carol Adase Forman and husband Eddie Forman of Hadley, Massachusetts, Sister, Frances Adase Juskin and her husband George Juskin of Woodland Park, New Jersey, Brother-in-law, Joseph Flanagan II of Port Charlotte, Florida. Diane’s nephews and niece, Joseph Flanagan III, Justin Flanagan and his wife Linda Singh, Nicole Juskin, Christopher Juskin and all Diane’s loving Aunts, Uncles and many Cousins.

Diane’s family would like to thank her long time Caregiver, Issy Orozco. A special thank you to the Cranford Rehabilitation and Nursing Home of Cranford, NJ and to the Doctors and Nurses of JFK Hospital, Edison, NJ for their compassion and care with Diane during this difficult time.

God has given Diane her wings and she will always be our beautiful Angel.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, NJ. Burial will be private at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ.

Due to the current state of affairs, a memorial to celebrate Diane’s life will be held at a future time.

Being born and raised in RP the Adase name is one of service and dedication to family and the community. Frankie Adase & the Adase Brotheres were always a name advancing great ideas especially supporting our town & providing the most beautiful Floats in town parades. Great memories. My sympathies to the Adase family on Diane’s passing. Thanks to the spirit she brought to RP. I am certain she will be watching over our 1 square mile town and all those she loved. God Bless all the souls of the faithfully departed.

To the family of Diane.........sympathies to you for your loss of your loved one so dear. My parents, who were very involved in Polish functions and dances, and I knew of the Adase family through the Happy Louie dances. We always saw Diane with a smile on her face, dancing and enjoying the polka music. May God bless your family now and always.

The smile on my Cousin Diane enlighten the room, she loved everyone, and everyone loved her. I have so many great memories, not sure where to begin but Diane babysat my daughter and many others, one I will never forget. Diane loved her Polka’s and her EFO Band and Happy Louie. The little things that meant the world to her. She knew where to put her heart and soul too. I have so many great memories with my Cousin Diane that I will cherish forever. She shielded me, she made me laugh, she made me feel protected, she made me feel blessed. Diane included everyone. My Cousin Diane made everyone feel special. No matter who you were. But she also let you know if you were stepping in her boundaries....a behavior I highly respected. Love you My Dee Dee! Forever and Always! 😘💔😔

So sad to learn of Diane’s death. I have fond memories of her in the sodality plays years ago and the pride your dad had in her performances. Yours was a family filled with love and Diane is now your guardian angel. I didn’t know she was in Cranford Health, I would have visited her. My Father-in-law, who just passed away 2 weeks ago, also was in their care. Again my prayers and condolences. Karen Kelly Bulloch
