Obituary for John L. Pordon

John L. Pordon, 69, of Melbourne, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at William Childs Hospice in Palm Bay, Fla.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, NJ, on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of The Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment is at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
Born in Passaic, John lived in Clifton and Linden, NJ before moving to Melbourne, Fla. six years ago.
He was a custodian for Linden Technical High School in Linden for nine years, retiring six years ago. Prior to that, he owned All-Purpose Building and Maintenance Co. in Linden.
John was a member of the Monsignor Joseph Loretti Council 3240 of the Knights of Columbus in Roselle Park and the 4th Degree Council 7408 of Palm Bay, Fla.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 21 years Catherine (Milford) Pordon; two loving children John T. Pordon and Joann Domaliski and her husband James; dear brother Nicholas DiBenedetto; three caring stepsons Samuel J. Milford, Kenneth E. and Matthew P. Zehnder; eleven adored grandchildren and three cherished great-grandchildren.
