Obituary for Miriam H. Olters (Ives)
Miriam H. Olters, (nee: Ives), 92, of Rahway passed away peacefully, on Monday, May 26, 2014, at home.
Visitation will be 7 to 9pm on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Family and friends are to meet on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River at 11am.
Born in Alma, NY, Miriam grew up in Linden and Elizabeth, NJ, before settling to Rahway in 1960.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Miriam was an avid bowler at Clark Lanes and Linden Lanes until she was 86. She also was a huge Mets Fan.
In the 1940’s, she was a bookkeeper for Merck in Rahway.
Miriam is predeceased by her beloved Stanley Charles Olters in 2008.
Surviving are her two loving children Sandra Mateer and her husband Terry, and Jeffrey Olters and his wife Denise. Also surviving are two cherished grandchildren Matthew and Ryan.
