Obituary for Salvatore Marino Jr.
Salvatore Marino, Jr., 70, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in his residence.
Funeral is form the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Entombment will follow to St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Sunday.
Born in Newark, NJ, Salvatore lived in Roselle Park for 43 years.
He was Quality Control in the jewelry industry for Harry Winston in New York City for 8 years retiring 6 years ago, prior to that he worked for Krementz Jewelry in Newark, NJ for 25 years.
Salvatore served his country in the United States Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 60 in Roselle Park.
Salvatore is predeceased by his caring father Salvatore Marino, Sr.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 43 years Josephine (Tonzola) Marino; his caring mother Janet Marino; three loving children David Marino and his wife Sharon, Heather Garcia and her husband Rick, and Joanna DeFilippis and her husband Donnie; and three adored grandsons Dominick, Augie, and Anthony.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Central Jersey Chapter, 740 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ, 07702 (www.jdrf.org) in Salvatore’s memory.
