I was told 14 years ago that Steve wouldn't make it to see his daughter born. Steve refused to accept that and spent the last 13 1/2 years fighting to be here for Phoebe and I. He was the best father ever and I am so thankful for the wonderful years he has with his daughter.
To all of you......thank you for your support and kindness.
Our thoughts and love are with the Kotch family. Steve was always willing to chat with us while Phoebe was at her voice lessons. He always brought positive energy, funny local stories, and the shining pride he had for his daughter. We are very lucky to have known him.
Although I didn't meet Mr. Kotch personally, I know his intentions were good. My family and I give all our condolences to Phoebe, her mom, and the rest of the family. I hear all these funny stories and wish I could've had more time to get to know him. May he Rest in Peace. He is in a good place and Pheebs he is looking down on you smiling, don't ever forget. We love you guys! Stay strong! xo
Didn't know him of late but he touched a part of our lives a while ago... Always the optimist, told me years age that "things will get better!"
Well Steveo, they "get better" by living your life the best that you can and making the most of Family and friends... From that, we gained real experience... I saw how you loved you wife, child family and friends...and although you were at times a "PITA".. we know you were real! and for that, knowing you and yours was real !!.. Rest easy and look down with favor on your child and lovely wife.
Steve-o was a real character with a great sense of humor and a gentle heart. For all the things that happened while we spent some of our lives together, I never saw him judge or become indifferent. Steve was above all a friend and his kindness and fairness towards me are things I will never forget. Rest now and may you find peace. My condolences to all of his family and friends and those he touched.
To his daughter, you already know how he was as a genuine Daddy. He loved you so much and you know how proud he was to call you his baby.

Our deepest sympathy is with the Kotch family at this very sad time. Steve and Ray were quite a pair, always looking for the next "yuck", and genuinely caring for each other. Steve was always there for us, even after Ray passed, calling to make sure we were OK or feeding Rusty the cat when things got difficult. He will be missed by everyone. Rest in peace Steve.
