Obituary for Gildardo "Gil" Mejia Sr.
Gildardo “Gil” Mejia, Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ.
Visitation will be 5 to 9pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park. A service will be at 8:30pm.
Born in Puka Villa De Guerrero Oaxaca, Mexico, Gil came to the United States in 1999, to Princeton, NJ, then moving to New Brunswick before settling to Kenilworth 4 years ago.
He was the head custodian at David Brearley High School in Kenilworth for 14 years.
Surviving are two loving sons Saul Rosas and Gildardo Mejia, Jr., two dear brothers Vincent and Rene Mejia, and two dear sisters Gabriela Mejia Ayala and Josefina Mejia Ayala.
