Adeline & Ron Mandel and Betty Citrano
My Mother, Betty Citrano was very fortunate to have Janet as her neighbor. When Betty had a severe stroke in 2012, once again she was fortunate that one of the family relatives, Ann recommended she do her re-hab at McAuley Hall in Watchung. After Betty continued to improve and praise the McAuley staff, Barbara's family decided to transfer her to McAuley Hall and there began our friendship. Betty was so happy to have Barbara at McAuley. Most days,we were able to enjoy a visit with Barbara. She was always protective and concerned about her dear 99 year old friend Betty. They definitely looked out for one another and enjoyed sharing news about their McAuley friends and relatives. Betty decided to leave McAuley and return to her home. Janet and Marilyn became their life line for updates about one another. We received a Christmas card and call from Barbara to wish her friend Betty a Happy 100th Birthday. Barbara was always kind, friendly, and compassionate with all of us. We will miss her. She changed our lives and taught us about gratitude, patience, love, acceptance and strength. Love to Barbara, her Sons, Janet, Marilyn and their Families! Adeline, Ron and Betty
